Rev Omoge franked by members of the Church during the foundation laying ceremony
After the demise of Reverend Paul Maforikan, there was a smooth transition, as Reverend Beni Omoge was installed as the leader of the Church which Reverend Maforikan led before his demise, on the 11th of August, 2016.

In celebrating his one year anniversary as a factional leader of the Church, he layed the foundation stone of a new cathedral that will occupy 75,000 members.

However, this feat seems not to bother some faithfuls of the Church. This was evident in a discussion which took place in a Facebook group.

The discussion was whether a new auditorium should be built in Celestial Golden City, situated along the Lagos Ibadan Highway, which was recently purchased by the Reverend Omoge led group, while another one is currently undergoing construction at Imeko.

An Evangelist in the Church, Olamiku Abiku advised against such, saying, "Imeko Cathedral has been since 1983 unattended, and we are trying to lay another foundation."

Abiku's opinion was supported by a female member of the Church, Remileku Olajide, who said that Reverend Omoge's attempt to build another auditorium is like putting the cart before the horse.

Olajide advised that laying of the auditorium is not the right thing for Reverend Omoge to do. She requested that the unfinished auditorium in Imeko should be completed.

Another female member, Akinduro Ebunoluwa sees the building of a new auditorium as a waste of resources.

"Celestians please wake up we need to stop all this and think about how to move forward. Imeko is there, not completed and we keep wasting money on what is not. All other denominations have schools, we don't have any" Akinduro said.

However, Olatunji Olufemi while adding his voice to the debate said he careless where another auditorium is built. He said he is only concerned about the love Reverend Omoge has for God's work. "I can see a pastor who is so much concern about Evangelism (Omoge)" Olufemi mentioned.
