The failure of the church to effectively discipline clergies and shepherds that have committed one infringement or the other has been described as an embarrassment to the church.

In an article titled, governing body for CCC worldwide, Evangelist Godsglory Opudu decried that the lack of unity among various pastors of the church has resulted to a rampant display of indiscipline within the church, especially by shepherds.

Opudu who is also a shepherd wrote in the article that: "Once a shepherd commit any offence and you try to discipline he quickly decamp to the next pastor or stand alone like a politician or footballer on transfer market looking for a pastor to buy him with the next rank."
