The outcry over the way Celestial Church was depicted in the movie Juba has been the most discussed among celestians, with an overwhelming condemnation of the movie in it totality by members of the church.

Although the largest and the most potent faction of the church, Ketu have released a public statement in condemning the video and it is also talking with the producer in ensuring that such do not repeat itself.

Reacting to the outcry over the movie, visioner of CCC Praiseville, Prophet Kunle Hamilton described the aggressive protest by some members of the church as self serving.

“Some of the characterizations in JUBA like smoking, alcoholism, street violence, etc actually go on in some 'dirty quarters' in CCC - which perhaps informs the Ostritch-head-in-the-sand aggressive protests of some Celestians.” Hamilton noted.

He advised every member of the church to be mindful of how they portray the image of the church, urging them to be more sacrosanct about it. Hamilton implored the leadership of the church to sanitize the church from negativity by prioritizing pulpit, in-house evangelism and bible training content.

A member of the church with the name Endowed Morountodun on Facebook, said it is not enough to condemned the way the church was depicted in the movie. She maintained that members of the church must begin to condemn members of the church who engage in negative acts, saying “change starts from the inside, it begins with me and you. Let’s look inward for a solution.

Also another member of the church, Akintunde Segun describe the movie on Facebook as a “great film” because it has addressed the bad things members are afraid to correct and talk about.
