I, Brother Enigbokan Omosehin, do welcome you to this week's sermon. I supplicate the Lord for a sound understanding and application of his words. The Bible says "Ye shall be the hearer and doer of the word.


Topic: Hope not in wealth
Bible Reading: 1 Timothy 6:17-19


The message is for you and I. We are all rich or hope to be rich. The mistake of many is when they begin to compare riches.

The core message of Apostle Paul to all through Timothy is to make good effort at comporting ourselves to conform with the standard of God in our riches.

The command for the rich according to the text are stated below.

1. Do not be arrogant. Pro 8:13
2. Put not your hope in wealth Psalm 49:6
3. Put your hope in God Psalm 31:24
4. Be rich in good deeds
5. Be generous and willing to share God's riches and wealth in your possession. Luke 11:41 Matthew 6:2
6. The wealth in the present world is temporary. Be wise, lay your treasure for yourself for the coming age which is permanent. Matthew 6:33

In conclusion brethren, I pray the grace we have to be rich will not make us miss heaven in Jesus name.
