The Oba who was given the privilege to address the Congregation after he was awarded by the Church for his contribution in enhancing peace in his domain, said he was formerly a Shepherd in the Church.
The Maforunyomi 1 of Igbobi-Sabe started his speech by singing the song Mo Gbo Ipe Odo Aguntan (Hymn 682) with everyone including the Choir singing joyfully along with him.
The Monarch said God's work must be done diligently, stating that the traditional title of the Oba he is occupying is also a part of God's work.
He said in 1990 he had a vision in Brooklyn, New York, where two women told him he would become king. "Look, I now wear Sutana. To become king will be difficult" he replied the women. But in 2003, he was crowned the king.
He promised to attend Sunday services occasionally at Makoko in his Sutana.
