It is with the Joy of the Lord, I welcome you to today's sermon on CCB. May God abundant grace continue with you as you read through in Jesus name (amen).

The Bible text for the week is Haggai 2: 10-19. The teaching is titled "The Pains and gains of correction".

Last week's message was an inter group issue between God (the Israelites) versus Dagon (the Philistines)

This week's message is an intra group issues, as it is centered on the message of the Lord to his people through Prophet Haggai. According to the prophecy, it was clear that the people of God had deviated from His commandment and correction was inevitable. Please note the following:

1. There are rules guiding the relationship between God and His people. Joshua 1:8 ; Psalm 103:18

2. Any deviation attracts correction.

3. No one is above correction.

4. Most corrections (if not all) attract pains

5. God corrects with the intention of rebuking and restoring. Proverbs 3:12 ; Hebrew 12:9

6. Be faithful and loyal to be able to trace the source of your pains Psalm 101:6 ; Proverbs 20:6

7. There is always peace and blessing after God's correction (provided there is positive response from us)
