Dear readers, we have a wonderful text (Acts 7:51-60) for our study this week. How has been your week? Virtually all the verses in today's text has a unique topic. But I have decided to title the sermon "Eschatology".

Eschatology is the part of theology concerned with death, judgement and final destiny of the soul and of humankind. The last statement in the text is ...... he (Stephen) fell asleep (died). Acts 7:60

Stephen was summoned before the Sanhedrin in Acts 6:12, where he gave a detailed defense in his reply to the charges against him.

In the verse one of the text, he provoked the crowd when he truthfully compared them to their forefathers. As a result, they decided to stone him to death.

My dear, I respect and envy Stephen for the following reasons"

1. He was a courageous man.
2. Truthful till the point of death.
3. He was full of the Holy Spirit.
4. He maintained close contact with Jesus till he fell asleep.
5. Like Jesus, he prayed for his persecutors (forgiveness) at the point of death.
66. he slept (died) a Christian.

Dearest ones, when, where, how and why a person died does not matter. What matters is life after death - Eschatology.

Think about it. God bless you. Bro Enigbokan Omosehin
