Text: 2 Timothy 1: 3-18
Memory Verse: 2 Timothy 1:12
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Brethren, we need to be aware of the devices of Satan. The devil has succeeded in depriving many Christians their right to exercise the Christian Faith.
Take for instance, a member of Celestial Church of Christ who was asked to pray in public, and couldn't pray with Celestial prayer formation. Probably he or she is ashamed of how people are going to react to it.
Also, some Christian members who are not bold enough to resist immoral practice amidst their peers because they could make jest or ridicule him or her.
Paul advice Timothy to hold onto the sound word he had received, 2 Timothy 1:3&14.
Why ashamed of good deed, you must be awake, because its a device of the devil. Paul wrote to the Romans and charge them that in whatsoever situation they find themselves or challenges that confront them, they must be firm with the truth. Romans 8: 35-39.
Let us behave like Onesiphorus, who was not ashamed of Paul when he was in prison and chained.
My dear reader, significantly you members of Celestial Church of Christ, regardless of the present situation in the Church, please don't deny the work of Christ in the Church.
Thanks for receiving the word of God and let it touch your heart today. Yours in love, Evangelist Oloyede Raphael
