I sincerely appreciate you for creating time to read my sermons on this platform. I pray the Lord grants your needs according to His riches in glory. Happy New Month.

The text for the week is Daniel 1 v 1- 7. The topic is " for a purpose". The topic is gotten from verse two of the text. " And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his ( Nebuchadnezzar) hands".
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. Among those that were captured was Daniel, Hanaiah, Mishael and Azariah. Dan. 1 v 6.

The Lord establishes the end at the very beginning. He is the alpha and omega. And the Lord delivered His own people, His beloved Israel to the king of Babylon for a Purpose. It was not that the Lord could not fortify the existing army of Israel or raise more army that would rescue them from Nebuchadnezzar but for a purpose He delivered them into the hands of the king of Babylon.

Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials to feed and teach them the language and literature of the Babylonains for a purpose he knew not. They were to be trained for three years.

God's plan and purpose was to use His people (Daniel, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego) to deliver and save the Babylonians. Daniel 3v29, 6v26-27.

MORAL LESSONS
1. God knows the best for us always.
2. We should endeavour to be in conformity with God always. Even in "difficult" situations.
3. Our challenges in life are God's plan for a purpose.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
