This is coming from a reaction to Prophet Joel Fisayo's article on the beauty works of the Choir Cape.
Ayo Olalekan Joshua said it is unjust for anyone to expect Church musicians to go to work and earn a living like normal Church members, but still expect them to be in perfect form while singing on Sundays.
Joshua wrote:
"About Choristers prospering, a musician has the right to get paid! let me repeat myself, scripturally proven that a musician has the right to get a token as a Levites!
"David personally gave to Levites and musicians, check 1 Chronicles 9:33.
"Infact scripturally and professionally, a musician is not allowed to do any other job aside the art of music! That's why the music of the ancient are way way better than this day music despite the technology!
"But our churches prefer to build gigantic buildings and kill cows than to put musicians into operation. So you see choristers hustling from Monday to Saturday and you expect wonderful voices on Sunday after the whole stress!
"Our Bible is more than enough. 2 Peter 1:3, all thing pertaining to life and godliness has been given to us (The bible), but it's now based on how we feel and what we think not what the word says. #GodHelpUs"
