The rise in kidnappings and ritual killings in Nigeria, especially in Lagos State is alarming and there is the need for Celestians, especially youths of the Church to be vigilant.

Celestial Church of Christ Youth Must Survive, popularly known as CCCYMS, gave this advice in a statement released Wednesday morning. The statement advised those who attend night programmes to desist from returning when it is not safe to do so.

"Please after your night programmes, always be patient enough to wait until its safe to go home. Stop going home around 4:30am, 5:30am, 6:15am . . . " a part of the statement reads.

The statement which was signed by Bro Oluwasegun, says that it is better for youths of the Church to sleep at home rather than attend vigils if they cannot do without leaving for home before day break.

"Please Celestial youths, am begging us in the name of Jehovah. Pity your parents. Be patient, leave night programmes atleast 6:45am in the morning. If you can't maybe becauses of the nature of your work, please sleep in your house instead.

"So many people have fallen victim of early morning robberies, rape, kidnap, etc when coming back from night programmes around 4am or 5am" Oluwaseun advised.
