As Celestians, the euphoria to gather on Friday 22nd, September at the night of a thousand sacrifice of praises is high and we all cannot wait to witness the 2nd edition of the Luli Concert.

This post is speculative and it envisages what we might witness and should possibly prepare for.

1. Largest gathering of celestians

On Friday, we may witness the gathering of celestians which will intimidate any previous gathering in the past. It is good to note that the organisers of the concert, have made available free buses which will convey members to the venue from strategic town within and outside Lagos. This gesture will surely encourage members to grace the occasion.

2. Not only music, but bible lessons and prayer ministration

It is a concert and you are ready to dance and listen to good music, but it may interest you, that add-ons like the reading of bible lessons and praying for the church and Nigeria are going to be important part of the event.

Although, there isn't any hint from the organisers about the reading of bible lessons in this year's edition, but it was a major item at the previous edition.

Praying is certain, as the organisers unveiled Prophet Ekunola Davies, a seasoned word and prayer minister as one of those that will minister at the concert.

3. The presence of more than one pastor

It will be a beauty to behold, if we all see the major 'pastors' of the church sitting side by side and holding hands as we sing to the hymns of the church. How beautiful will this be.

There are numerous hints which point to the fact that this might happen. Firstly, is the inclusion of the choir of the Holy Mary Cathedral, Oluwaseyi, in Ijeshatedo among the choir that will minister at the concert. It may interest you to know that this choir is affiliated to one of the claimant to the pastoral seat.

Secondly, is the non partisan stance displayed on the flyers of the concert, against what we saw last year. This is surely a big statement by the organisers which deserves commendation. Certainly, the Luli Concert is a project that can unite the church.

4. Light showers

The weather forecast for Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd suggest that Lagos will be cloudy with temperature ranging between 29°/24°. Also if we factor in the experience of the previous year, where it drizzled, then it is most likely that we may witness the same this year.

It is important to note that this is definitely a fine misty rain, which you do not need to worry about. Showers of blessings right?!

5. Overzealous members

You cannot miss these group of members in any gathering of celestians. They are mostly the side men/women, prophet (ess) or certain elders of the church. They might want to perform jobs the organisers did not enlist them in, like correcting certain issues in regards to the church doctrines or tenets. This occurred last year. However, it is important you do not bother yourself about them no matter how provoking they may be.

Conclusively, this year's concert is going to be great. Let's go and praise our God in a night of thousand praises. See you on Friday.
