Loyalty to a parish can hinder one’s spiritual growth, say Olufemi Samuel in a Facebook post on the new year. He argued that one have to take deliberate actions if one intend to grow spiritually and physically as “growth does not happen by accident.”
While maintaining that the year 2020 is a great year, Samuel however stated that deliberate actions means “changing your parish, changing friends who hinder your growth, going to meetings/program/service that will stir you, not where you go to dance for 10 hours and just go home. It may even include moving to a new location.”
