Stand! Have your loins girt in readiness,

the battle poses to ravish you to nothingness!

_

Where is your helmet, your breastplate, O' Celestial?

your wrestling weapons, your doubtless faith?

_

Adversaries roar, mouths for devouring ready

An enemy is, without the eyelashes of mercy.

_

I did have my bitter share of resting, of sitting;

of waiting, lazing, of hoping, of snoring...

_

Wake, you, from this stumbling slumber!

Let your sight blink in alertness, be sober!

_

Life is a field of endless war,

with humans ready to bite you sore;

_

Your lamp at stake, darkness abounds,

ready to chase light into extinction -- to blindness.

_

Be ready, keep your wholeness above...

Climb the mountains of holiness alone.

_

An enemy can have a change of heart;

a friend, can cast injurious firebrands.

_

But there goes a friend closer than a brother,

with the God of Celestial, you're as ready as ever.
