Today, I celebrate Professor Samuel O. Odeyemi, the Coordinator General Emeritus of millions of YOUTHS OF THE CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST as he marks his 89th birthday anniversary.

Single handedly, he built the foundation and superstructure of CCC's YOUTH ORGANISATION. He molded the Christianity of tens of thousands of Youths, who today are the middle managers of the 73-year-old CCC Worldwide which Rev/Prophet/Pastor SBJ Oshoffa founded.






A former Deputy Vice-Chancellor and retired Chemistry don at my alma mater, the University of Lagos, Prof. Odeyemi also founded the first private Celestial Bible Seminary for Shepherds, Workers and Scholars to scale up the theological breeding of Gospel Ministers in CCC.

This humble but vastly knowledgeable icon has succeeded at everything I have traced to his mind and hands, including the nursery, primary and secondary schools he founded, the portable water and Veleta wine production lines he built.

Inspired by his invitation to preach at his 80th birthday Thanksgiving Service 9 years ago, I poured out my mind on how much all of us in the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide should copy the selflessness and commitment of this true icon who has never benefitted a dime nor begged for any title or position in the top echelons of the Church.






Rather, Prof. Odeyemi has given all of his time, talent, status and substance to serving Olu Ijo Mimo (AlmightybGod of and in CCC).

And at 88 years old, when most men feed from their meagre pension or the faithful provision ny caring children, this Emeritus Philanthropist built and dedicated the biggest private cathedral of the CCC, THE CITADEL, next in size only to the astounding Imeko Basilica. Singlehandedly.

As DVC in Unilag, his grace gave admission to Celestians who otherwise may never have earned a degree in their lives. Also, Celestial undergraduates held Church services in his official campus residence.

In my opinion, no other man or woman, except perhaps the Pastor/Founder, has given as much time, talent, effort, status, substance or garnered as much goodwill to and for the Celestial Church of Christ as this true icon.

If I was half the man Professor Samuel Odeyemi is, I would deserve to be immortalized. If truly CCC is worth living and dying for, then I wait to see how Pastor EMF Oshoffa, Pastor Beni Omoge, Pastor Steve Orovboni and all the human assets of CCC Worldwide would celebrate Daddy Samuel Odeyemi when his time comes, long after I have preached and honoured him again on his 90th birthday inside the great CITADEL he built for God in Ifo LG in Ogun State.

Happy birthday to this true icon plus big Thank You and Congratulations to Mummy Yetunde Odeyemi whom God used to lengthen her husband's years and colour his calling.
