Celestians both clergies and laities had been admonished to ensure they make contentment a key virtue. This admonishment was made by Venerable Superior Evangelist K.S Adeyinka in an online sermon posted on Facebook on Sunday 14th June, 2020.

In the sermon, Adeyinka warned against the act of turning the gospel into business in order to achieve personal gains, maintaining that Christianity is a call to serve and not about profit making.

The Shepherd of Calvary 1 in Ogba, Lagos, implored members of the church to be contented, as such act is the basis of ones relationship with God. While making use of the verse 8 and 9 of Proverbs 30 as the text of the sermon, Adeyinka noted that God will always provide for the needs of his people at of the time they are qualified for it.

He warned Christians against engaging in the behaviour of Gehazi as witnessed in 2 Kings 6:19, as only the blessings of God brings success. He advised that contentment should be practiced everywhere, irrespective of ones position in life.
