The continuous closing down of churches in order to curtail the Covid19 pandemic is not an effective way to defeat the pandemic, says Hon Fateema Mohammed. She disclosed this as a guest on a live programme on Omo Cele Ni Mi Facebook page.
While responding to various questions ranging from politics, her charity work and the covid 19 pandemic, she questioned the modalities in which markets are opened during a pandemic, but churches are closed. She asked, how will people cry unto God for help in defeating the pandemic if churches are closed.
On politics, she enjoined the youth of the church not to be afraid of politics, revealing that the popular saying that politics is dirty is wrong, because the affairs of the nation cannot be left in the hands of those who won’t be sincere with governance. The People’s Democratic Party stalwart therefore, charged the youth to be angry from the heart with the feeling that they do not like how they are been led, so as to be embolden with the spirit of sincerity.
