Depending on one’s biases, words like betrayal are loosely used by members of the Church to castigate those who do not support the faction they support.

This was raised in an article released by the children of late Reverend Paul Maforikan, in which they exonerated the late factional pastor of the Church from any action against the Church and its founder, Reverend Samuel Bilewu Oshoffa.

They claimed, that due to unnecessary biases, their father was wrongly accused of dividing the Church by those who themselves betrayed the Church as a result of greed and lies.

"We are proud of Papa Maforikan because he never betrayed the founder of CCC. Even though they tried so hard to make Papa Oshoffa hate Baba Maforikan because they see him as a threat to them not to carry out their evil task," the article read.
