The era of transfer shepherds going against the standard set by the Church and that of their parish of primary assignment is over says Reverend Emmanuel Oshoffa.

Oshoffa revealed this afternoon at the Church's General Committee meeting held at the International Headquarters, Ketu, Lagos.

He assured the parochial committees of various parishes in the Church to work with him to ensure that the reforms regarding the transfer of shepherds become successful. The meeting was monitored by one of our reporters from the Zoom.

Oshoffa added that parochial committees should send a detailed report of shepherds posted to their parishes, so that the office of the pastor can assess the performance during their period of serving in parishes they are posted to.

He noted that these reports will be used in considering whether the shepherd will be sanctioned or commended, as erring shepherds will be sent to the Church's disciplinary committee for investigation or to go back to the seminary for further training.

Also, Oshoffa mentioned that shepherds will now be sent to parishes based on the specific needs that suit them. "We will not send the wrong shepherd to you. We will send shepherds that suit your needs," Oshoffa declared.
