Boy Chained in Celestial Church || It Is Shameful and an Act of Unreasonable Parental Discipline - Celestial Church Declares.

Celestial Church of Christ has described as shameful and unacceptable the reported chaining of a nine year old boy by his father who also doubles as the Shepherd of Key of Joy Parish, Ajiwo at Ajibawo in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State.

In a statement released by the Church, the Church disassociated itself from the gruesome act, stating that "Celestial Church of Christ does not condone child abuse and violence of any form."

It further stated that it is disheartening that the matter has drawn the ire of the public against the church, as it has been "receiving undeserved flaks therefrom."

The Church reiterated it belief that children and youths have a vital part to play in the future of any organisation, church or nation. Stating that "our belief is that children therefore must be raised in an atmosphere of love, Christian values and reasonable parental discipline."

The Church further assured the general public that it has started investigation regarding the issue and promised to dole out appropriate disciplinary actions against those involved in the barbaric act.
