The essence of this categorization is for the purpose of effective management, spiritual growth correct assessment and result oriented health competition amongst Parishes, the draft Constitution says.
Thus, parishes would be classified as:
1. Assembly:
(a) A group of worshipers operating in rented apartment, make-shift structures, tents and or structures of rural nature such as bamboo structure.
(b) Shall be of very meager financial resource with an adult population not more than twenty (20).
2. Minor Parish:
(a) Parishes with about 50 regular adult’s membership
(b) Shall have a church auditorium of presentable structure of a sort.
(c) Shall have an average financial strength.
3. Major Parish:
(a) Parish with more than 200 regular adults membership
(b) Shall have a church auditorium of permanent/good structure.
(c) Shall be financially viable
4. Mega Parish:
(a) Parish with more than 300 regular adults membership
(b) Shall have a church auditorium of modern permanent structure
(c) Shall be financially strong and stable
5. Cathedral:
(a) Parish with more than (500) five hundred regular adult membership.
(b) Shall have a church auditorium of modern permanent structure.
(c) Shall be financially strong and stable.
