The Ogun State's Laity of the Church (Ordinary members of the Church who are non Shepherds and Church workers) has advised Parishes of the Church to stop paying funds which are returned to the Headquarters (Ketu) “Ipin” until the leadership tussle in the Church is resolved.

This was make known in a Communique issued by the Laity after a meeting held on 11th July, 2015 at CCC Ijaye Archdiocese, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The group of ordinary members stated that the Funds “Ipin” should be held in trust by each Parish in dedicated accounts pending the resolution of the crises because Senior Evangelist Tosho might be having unfettered access to the Church funds.

Also, the group appreciated the effort of the Ven. (Gen.) Ekundayo B. Opaleye - led Reunification Committee on the drafting of a new constitution for the Church and urged the committee to expedite action on it.
The group berated Senior Evangelist Tosho Oshoffa for claiming to be the leader of the Church, calling his action as "childish, rebellious and a mere shenanigan."

The group added that although it has utmost respect and regard for the person and family of Rev Samuel Bilehou Oshoffa, but stated that the leadership/Pastoral position of Celestial Church of Christ is not the exclusive preserve of the Oshoffas.
