That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ
I delivered a sermon last Sunday, and I said "Nowadays, people are too desperate for success" and in so doing, many have become slaves to success. You need to give God the chance to lead your life,
At this point my reader, I want you to pause and think about your desperation to achieve one thing or the other.
How much have you achieved despite all your desperation?
1 Timothy 6:6-7 says: But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
CCC Hymns 694 (3) says "Asan ni fe'nia lati fo'kan fun isura aiye ti yio fo lo"
The Lord has invested heavily in us, especially members of Celestial Church of Christ. So he wants us to be his torch bearers, but because of our desperation, we have left the source of living water.
Christ in his teaching in Matthew 6:26, 30-32 emphasizes that one cannot make it without God's approval,
Amongst many, desperation will cause:
1. Death of The Conscience
Effect: Committing evil (sin) enroute to achieving your aim (1 Timothy 6:9-10)
2. Lost of Focus
Effect: You would compromise your Christian faith
Finally, my dear reader, you can achieve your desire goal in life without necessarily losing heavenly race. Just entrust God with all your plans, then with patience and perseverance, you shall get there in Jesus name.
