Oluwole Akinwumi Fagbenro highlights 7 common misunderstanding members of the Church do have about their membership in the Church.
1. Being born in the fold automatically makes you born again.
THE TRUTH: It's simply being born of water and of the Spirit that makes one born again (John 3:5; 1:13).
2. Evangelism isn't necessary; God will proclaim Himself.
THE TRUTH: If this is true Jesus wouldn't have given us the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8).
3. Speaking in unknown tongues is demonic.
THE TRUTH: Speaking in unknown tongues is plainly Biblical (Mark 16:17; 1 Corinthians 14; Jude 20).
4. Not putting on shoes while in sultana is a form of fasting, so the conventional fasting isn't necessary.
THE TRUTH: Fasting is important for Christians; otherwise, Jesus wouldn't have fasted 'forty days and forty nights' (Matthew 4:2).
5. God loves us more than other denominations.
THE TRUTH: God doesn't show partiality (Acts 10:34; James 2:9).
6. Keeping CCC doctrines and tenets is enough to qualify one for heaven.
THE TRUTH: God's commandments take the preeminence over any church doctrines (Mark 7:1-13).
7. Members of CCC aren't Christians.
THE TRUTH: What then are they? Moslems? Mormons? Buddhists? Celestianism is a subset of Christianity and never vice versa.
