Brother Samuel Akinyode
The Association of the Church Students’ Parishes nationwide has declared that despite it respect for all the numerous Pastors in the Church, it won’t support any one of them.

This was made known in a statement signed by Brother Samuel Akinyode, the National President of the Celestial Church of Christ Students’ Parishes in Nigeria.

A part of the statement reads “We respect all so called pastors BUT we not paying total allegiance to one or any pastor or faction till CCCW/W has one pastor.”

Akinyode said that the Students’ Parishes had become a model for the Church, as students from various factions of the church worship unfactionized and are more united.

He added that in these tertiary institutions’ fellowships, spiritual and administrative activities are carried out effectively & efficiently with love unto Christ without the presence of a Shepherd.

Akinyode complained of various forms of victimizations which individual Students’ Parishes do undergo under several Parishes, Provinces, National Headquarters and International Headquarters due to the issues of IPIN, posting of Shepherds to Students’ Parishes and ordering them to be under a Pastor amongst many others.

He reiterated that “We have never in any way been against the church because we are also part of the church.

“All we desire is to worship God in a conducive Celestial environment, living a Jesus life, attaining our academic pursuit and not miss heaven.“

The statement condemned the Church having more than one pastor and prayed that God will touch the lives of leaders in the Church to adjust accordingly in Jesus name.
