Reverend Paul Suru Maforikan who passed away on August 9th, 2016 has been described as a clergy who is humble and ready to unite the Church.

This assertion was made known by one of the daughters of the Reverend S.B.J Oshoffa, Deborah Gbolasere Oshoffa.

In a Facebook post, the female Oshoffa said Rev Maforikan won her admiration because he had passion for the unity of the Church.

"Baba Maforikan did with all humility what most of our pastors and elders wouldn't do. He was ready to put off the garment of Pastorship for the unity of Celestial Church of Christ. He earned my admiration. He had a passion for the unity of CCC." she decalred.

She stated further that the octogenarian's sermon at the Burial of her Mum, Mother-in-Celestial Elizabeth Oshoffa was free from spiteful statements.

"For sake of unification he ignored all threats and was present at my mum, MIC Elizabeth Oshoffa's burial and gave a sermon devoid of malice and wasn't judgemental .

"He ended his sermon with his favourite song...Cele yi ti gbogbo wa ni. I know one of his greatest regret is being unable to see a unified CCC." she wrote.
