Reverend Beni Omoge
The clergy who took after the Pastoral Seat of Reverend Paul Maforikan, Reverend Prophet Gabriel Beni Omoge, JP declared that age, knowledge or status does not count when it comes to appointment of positions in the Church.

In an interview granted to Nigerian Newspaper Today before the passing away of Reverend Maforikan, the clergy said he was chosen by Reverend Maforikan as the deputy overseer of the Church because the Holy Spirit directed him to do so.

"When I was appointed, he (Reverend Maforikan) told the whole world that he was ordered and directed by the spirit of God to make me his deputy so that I can take over his position when the time comes. As I said earlier, I was the youngest among others, but when he called me, he said the Holy Spirit directed him to appoint me to the position and it was announced on May 14, 2014. All the elders also supported. At C.C.C., we do not give positions according to age, knowledge or status. It is only the spirit of God that directs everything.

On the Pastoral Crisis in the Church, Rev Omoge said "there is nothing that has a beginning without an end. It is just a matter of time. According to Ecclesiastes 3: 1-3, everything in this world is a matter of time. All I believe about the crisis is that God knows about it, so when it is time for him to intervene, he will surely put an end to the crisis. This crisis you are talking about is not only happening in C.C.C., there are crises in other churches in the world today. It’s just that the C.C.C. is well known which is why it is public knowledge. The Celestial Church of Christ is from heaven and we believe this crisis will come to an end soon.

"The only advice I can give to C.C.C. members worldwide is that everything happening now needs prayer, because when things are moving forward, we need prayer. Also, when the journey is rough, we also need prayers. According to Luke 1:37, there is nothing impossible for God. So, we should keep praying because prayer is the key. According to Psalm 30:5, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. I will ask members to let us pray together we need God’s intervention and I believe it will end soon. Thus, let us be united in prayers because I know the enemies are at work."
