One of the Church's clergy in the United Kingdom, Prophet Yemi Shonubi has narrated how he became a member of the Church, despite coming from the home of one of the earliest founder of a Pentecostal Church in Nigeria.

Prophet Shonubi made this known in a radio interview with a United Kingdom based radio station, Solab Fm.

In the more than 50 minutes interview, Shonubi addressed various issues ranging from how he became a member of the Church, his calling and the non unifying of the Celestial Church in United Kingdom.

He queried the essence of joint revival between Celestial Church of Christ and the Cherubim and Seraphim in the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom based Shepherd said since both Churches are still divided , it would be a futility exercise for both to organise a joint revival.

He advise both Churches to put their houses in order, by unifying the various factions amidst them. "Let them unify the diocese in the United Kingdom first." Shonubi said.

In the interview, Shonubi also narrated how he became a member of the Church. He recounted that he was young and was always hunger because he came from a poor home, so a friend of his invited him to a Parish of Celestial Church of Christ, saying there is always free and enough food for everyone to eat. To his surprise, he said, he met nothing less, when he got to the parish.

He said that was his first contact with Celestial Church, despite the privilege that his grandfather was the founder of a Pentecostal Church and since then he had grown to become a Prophet and a Shepherd in God's fold.
