One of the beauties and glory that manifested with celestial church of christ is MUSIC.

With about 1000 spiritual songs revealed through the Holy Spirit by prophets, those who later became prophets, elders, the Pastor founder, babies and those who had one infirmity or the other.

These revelations through music convinced alot of people that Celestial Church of Christ is truely sent by God. Many people joined because of the kind of music that celestial worshippers sang. It was not only revealing, the tempo and rhythm was sothing to the spirit.

Hymn 377 reaffirms the glory of celestial songs in stanza 2 which reveals the creation of seven heaven which is not in record in the Bible.



Apart from the Spiritual song book which we call hymn book, during the years of the Pastor founder SBJ Oshoffa various parishes released different inspirational albums on their harvest days which where sold to Celestials who come for the harvest or after the harvest, this albums where also available at the end of the year convocation or at Makoko during the easter period.

Hit albums where from Makoko, Yemetu, Army barracks, Agege, Ijeshatedo, etc. It was a fierce competition especially between Makoko and Army barrack. Baba Brobro leading the Makoko side and Baba Remi Olabanji on Army barracks side. Yemetu was also a big contender but with a unique style with them introducing Igbo language in some of their albums.

There is no way else you can describe the atmosphere then other than HIGHLY SPIRITUAL AND PEACEFUL.

From the lead vocalist, to the female back up singers, the guitarist, the organist, the bassist all fall in line to wax very inspirational soul lifting album that is still green till today. Many of us grew up to those albums.

In most celestial homes there where no records of sunny ade or Ebenezer obey or Orlando owo or haruna Isola who where making waves then, infact there was no need for it because the musical tempo of celestial was enough to swallow the world.

It was so glorious that on record the cherubim and Seraphim choir at kilometre 12 came to yemetu to request being taught the celestial style of music. From records Celestial Church of Christ in those days was mocked for using instrument because most churches did not use instruments. The highest instruments in most churches was the very big church organ.

What was responsible for the musical revolution? The answer is not far fetched, what was responsible was the manifestation of the Holy Spirit which proved then that celestial church of christ is truely a church from heaven.



Although the hymn book was not composed or revealed by Celestial Church of Christ Choir even though some members of the choir might have sang some of the revelational songs but the Choir of Celestial where the ones given the task to sing the Hymns and also receive further spiritual inspired songs.

One of the things that therefore gave a mark of separation for those who have been separated for that task is the choir cape which is colored yellow and blue.
