The best way for Celestial Church of Christ to lose her value is to neglect the role of the youth in the development of the church, Evangelist Rotimi Malik warned.

Malik, a church consultant made this known at the National Prayer Retreat hosted by the youth body of the church in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the church at the National Headquarters of the church in Makoko on Friday Night.

He warned that if the church does not engage her youth, Satan would and it will spell a huge danger for the church. He opined that the church looks more like a place for old men, where the youth and women are just observers.

Malik advocated that opportunities must be created for the youth to function in the church. He said: "Our youth drift to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, because there are opportunities for them there.

"A good brother from the church, would accept to become a youth pastor in a pentecostal church, because he will not want to allow his God given talent to be wasted in a celestial church. Our youth use their talents to serve God better in other churches, that is why it is easy for them to go to other churches."

He advised that elders of the church must show good leadership by acting what they preach and creating room for young ones to grow in the church, by segmenting the church into children church, youth church and adult church.
