Baba Adetiran speaking after receiving his award
The director of the Central Choir of the Church, Superior Evangelist, Wole Adetiran displayed an emotional feeling which touched the mind of those who were at the second edition of the Luli Concert on Friday night.

The composer of the NYSC anthem, was recognised by the organisers of the concert for his contributions to the development of music in the church. Adetiran who recently clock 70 year old, was in tears as he was presented with an award and a cheque of ₦200,000. Also two unnamed individuals gave him ₦100,000 and ₦20,000 respectively.

While receiving the awards, the Rector of the Celestial Music Academy received a standing ovation from the audience.

After receiving the award, an emotional ladened Adetiran made a statement that became a brief topic of discussion among faithfuls at the concert, as members were debating what the statement meant.



The statement was: "I am afraid. I don't know if I can still see a day like this." This statement of his was followed by a brief moment of silence from those at the concert. He also added that everything he has done is as a result of the grace given to him by God.
