Two years ago, we began the listing of Celestians who have made their marks in and around the church, most especially through the use of Social Media. Since then, it has become a tradition to make this list available as the year comes to an end.

This year, the following are our 10 Celestians of the year.

1. Pius Olarewaju

This Celestian was in the eyes of the storm in 2017. He was criticized as working against the development of the church, but when the truth was revealed, it became clear that he has the love of the church at hand.

The Superior Evangelist is the brain behind the near completion of the Church's Basilica in Imeko. As the chairman of the building committee, he rose up above expectations to make sure Celestians worship together in Imeko under a roofed cathedral.



2. Folorunsho Michael

An administrator on Ijo MIMO ti Kristi lati Orun Wa, a Facebook Group which is best known for discussing issues about the Church and act like a police group..

Folorunsho is a conservative whose passion is routed in maintaining the doctrines of the church as laid down by the founder of the church. He is known for stirring up debates as regards to the church doctrines.

3. CCCYMS

CCCYMS which is less than a year old, has through the use of innovation, effectively transformed the youth ministry of the church into a different dimension.

CCCYMS has effectively made use of the Social Media to gather and bring together youth of the Church in order to build a reassuring future leaders for the Church.

4. Luli Concert

This event is making the list as a result of its been the most discussed event in and around Celestial Church in 2017. Aside the roofing of the Basilica, this concert, is the biggest and the best thing that happened to Celestial Church of Christ in the year under review.

5. Israel Oladele

Popularly called Genesis, Israel Oladele is the presiding Shepherd of Genesis Model Parish, a liberal Parish known for its interdenominational service. The author and writer is known for his philanthropic work.

6. Alonge Michael

The publisher of Celestial News Online is making the list again after debuting in it for the first time in 2016. Either you like him or hate him, Alonge in 2017, was one of those who shaped the issue of discuss in the church by bringing to light the issues around the reasons the cathedral in Imeko was not completed after decades of delay.

7. Fisayo Joel Jackson

Coordinator of ISINMI Ministry, an online interdenominational ministry that deals with spiritual counseling, dreams/nightmare interpretation with precise solutions, also made the list in 2016.

During the year under review, Prophet Fisayo who is known for his inspiring articles, moved to making vidoes where he teaches people about various aspects of the Church and Christianity at large.

8. Liz Ebony Angel
One cannot fault the sincerity and doggedness in the articles which are written by Elizabeth. The NYSC corp member who is currently serving in Kwara State is known for her stance on the need for the protection and respect of females.

9. Adedeji Gabriel Bi-ala

Prophet Adedeji Gabriel Bi-ala is making the list for his articles on various testimonies he and other members of the church have seen as a result of God's glory.

10. Omololu Oladosu

Though the visioner and founder of the Maranatha Pavilion Ministeries International is late, but there is no doubt that his death touched a lot of Celestians, as uncountable tributes were written about him.

Doctor Oladosu was a teacher of the word of God, which are always insightful and soul touching.
