In his speech, Mekuleyi extolled the vision of the General Youth Coordinator of the church, Senior Evangelist S.O Odeyemi for initiating a programme for the youths of the church which have assisted the youths to remain in the fold.
"In the past most of our youths go to other churches. Today the case is different. There is no one to deceive them again. Many people condemned Professor Odeyemi, saying he want to take over Celestial Church of Christ" with his youth activities." Mekuleyi mentioned.
The Shepherd in Charge of Egbe 1 Parish in Ikotun Egbe area of Lagos, thank God that Odeyemi was not discouraged with the statements made by those who criticized him, stating that "If he (Odeyemi) had not fight that battle, it will be a different occasion, as most of our youths would have gone to another church.
"Odeyemi's opinion was that the Church need to develop the youth. They are the future of the church."

Professor Opeyemi is a man of very impeccable character. He was my Bible Class Teacher every Tuesday at Festac Town Parish. This he did for many years with the support of Rev. Demola Somorin. I am a beneficiary of his bible training till today. I believe that Ketu is intimidated by his smooth and orderly administration of his Youth Prohrammes. I would not be surprised that Ketu may be expecting returns from him. Ketu sees everything as monetised. Let us support any programme that keeps our youth in CCC.
