The Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs at the Kuchingoro Camp in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, got smiles on their faces as the committee of 70th anniversary of the Church visited the camp to donate footstuffs to them as part of the activities marking the church's platinum anniversary.

Prophet Emmanuel Soyemi who led the delegation to the camp said that the essence of the visit was as a result of the Church's desire to put smiles on the victims of Boko Haram.

He noted that: “We believe that the 70th anniversary of the church should be used to affect the public positively, especially those people who have been put under serious constraints by the Boko Haram insurgents.

"They were chased out of their villages and communities, while some have become orphans and widows. Our message to the IDPs is to keep hope alive. God will definitely help them out of their trauma.”

Mother in Celestial, Bola Shodeinde who is the Chairperson of the Anniversary Planning Committee, said the items donated were gotten from the charitable donations from members of the church. She noted that a total of N2.5m was used to purchase the donated footstuffs.
