A church recently attacked by ba cultists
The apprehension caused by the recurrent attacks on houses around Ikorodu and its environs in Lagos State, by the activities of Badoo cultists might has become a source of bickering between the Nigeria Police and churches in and around Ikorodu, as reported by Independent.ng.

The newspaper reported that there are speculations which are echoed by the believe that the police in Ikorodu may order churches, especially Celestial Church of Christ, Deeper Life Bible Church, Foursquare Gospel Church, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Catholic Church, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Church and a host of many others, to seek for approval from the police, before organising their vigils.





A leader of Celestial Church who spoke with the newspaper advised the Police to stop meddling into the activities of the church. A non celestial church leader, who craved for anonymity, said leaders of churches were told to stop holding vigil nights for the meantime by the police authorities.

However, Chika Godwin Oti, the spokesman for the police in Lagos State, denied any knowledge of any meeting between the police, the churches and their leaders over the order to stop vigil nights.
