There is no doubt that 2017 was a year where the activities of the church, found its way on the social media like never before.

Picture One

For most liberals in the church, picture one is not a big issue, but it was for the conservatives, who believed Prophet Ogundipe Oladele Israel should have been proud of the church by wearing the church garment, rather than wearing that of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church Movement while he was invited to minister in a Cherubim and Seraphim Church.

This picture depicts physical display of humility by a shepherd of the parish. The unknown shepherd is seen kneeing along side a prophetess delivering a message, the writer of the message and a fourth person, who is possibly an interpreter. The action of the shepherd was highly commended by those who commented about the pictures.

The third picture in the list of the most discussed pictures of last year highlighted the shepherd of Genesis Model Parish, Prophet Ogundipe Oladele Genesis being laid hand upon by the Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre in London.

The basis of discussion concerning this picture was centred on why should a non Celestial Church clergy lay hand on a shepherd.

Picture Four

Picture four is a combination of multiple pictures, centred on the construction of the Basilica and all the controversies behind it. In 2017, the church financial documents which were supposed to be kept away from public eyes were littered everywhere on social media.

However, God took glory and the church's desire of getting the Basilica covered after decades of failure was achieved.
