Bro Leke Olulana |
Leke in an article cautioned that members of the church must preach Christ first to non and new members rather than introducing doctrines to them, as doing such is a terrible strategy of winning souls.
"But I think celestians are missing it. Many celestians introduce doctrine/tenent rather than introducing Christ. The only thing that binds every christian is Christ."
"Each church has its own doctrine/tenent but other denominations present Christ as the primary message, and after conversion, they introduce doctrine/tenents.
He complained that most celestians do not use such intelligent and gospel like strategy to win the souls of new members, but they forcefully and harshly introduce doctrines and tenets first.
"But just a pity that some celestians introduce doctrine/tenent first and in a forceful and harsh manner. I think we lack the strategy of winning souls. You can keep the whole doctrine/tenent and lose eternity but you can't accept Christ and lose eternity" he stated.
He noted that he might be backlash for his opinion, stating that "we behave as if keeping doctrine equalises accepting Christ. I know many people will criticize this message but God bless those who understand."

ReplyDeleteGood observation! Salvation is paramount in the kingdom of heaven. Tenets and doctrines are themselves revelational principles of the kingdom of heaven, hence, they must be taught in line with the gospel in order to make them have living impact in the lives of members (especially the new convert). When the faith of a new convert (and even regular members) is established on Tenets and doctrines in letter form, such a person ends up becoming a religious members, rather than a spiritually minded worshiper.
