The usage of symbols to depict Holy Mary, during the celebration of the Holy Mary day by Celestians has been described as wrong and a form of idolatry.

This assertion was detailed by the liberal minded leader of the Shaddai Ville Ministries, Prophet Kunle Hamilton and the conservative leader of Greater Tomorrow Group, Brother Bolaji Demola.

While it is known that these two individuals have contrasting opinions views regarding the church doctrines and tenets, however they both agree in separate social media posts on how the mother of Christ, Holy Mary should not be honoured.




In his post, Hamilton noted that the vision Reverend SBJ Oshoffa saw about Holy Mary did not instructed members of the fold to worship her.

"Nothing in the apparitions of her that Papa SBJ Oshoffa saw or said or instructed us as Celestians to observe annually mandates us to WORSHIP our IDOLIZE her.

"So please don't go bowing down to some graven wooden or ceramic image or photo of Mary as others now do all over CCC and in other older denominations." Hamilton wrote.

In his part, Bolaji Demola, the leader of Greater Tomorrow, in a video explained that the founder of the church was never given any image, picture, statue of Holy Mary to be kept or erected in the church, as a representation of her presence during the celebration of the Holy Mary service. He said the practice is not of Celestial Church of Christ.
