The desire of a clergy of the Church, Evangelist Adeyeye Jesutoki to acquire a two plot of land for the purpose of building a parish, has resulted to him been defrauded by the Baale of Owode Osogbo, Alhaji Mustapha Nasiru.

The Shepherd and Baale had reached an agreement in May 2016, on how the former will acquire the land with a negotiated price of ₦650,000, only for the latter to receive the money and refuse to deliver the land.

This made the clergy to repeatedly demand for either the land or return of his money, rather the Baale threatened that he would kill the clergy if he raise the matter up again.

The shepherd proceeded to court to seek redress and the case was brought before Magistrate Mrs. Amina Oloyade, who believed that the prosecution proved the case satisfactorily against Mustapha and convicted him for fraud and stealing. Magistrate Oloyade, however, sentenced the Baale to two years in prison with an option of N20,000 fine.
