Before the demise Reverend SBJ Oshoffa he chose 18 honourary evangelists and took them on a tour to Imeko, to inspect the construction of the cathedral.


In his book titled Imeko Cathedral: A Legacy of Papa Oshoffa, Evangelist Charles Otukoya recounts one of the the desire of the founder in getting the cathedral completed in his life time.






The author perceived that Oshoffa led the group of evangelists because he intend inspiring them to work on getting the cathedral completed. The founder of the church told the 18 honourary evangelists that "whosoever partakes in Imeko Cathedral will be blessed here and hereafter."

Otukoya who acknowledged that he was present while Oshoffa took the honourary evangelists on a tour to Imeko, but he cannot recall their names, but elders old enough then can remember them well.

Otukoya maintained that he was sure Oshoffa in his death will be surprised that Imeko Cathedral is not yet completed years after his demise.
