Our church need more professors and doctors as we have of clergies and church workers - Tola Adele

The underdevelopment being witness in our church are caused by various factors which were highlighted in an article by Tola Adele.

In the article Adele observed that although development can be seen in some areas of the church, but he opined that there is a need for high standard of spirituality to be met with high level of excellence and development.

“There is a downslide of Celestials notable in administration and important positions in Nigeria because we are not building excellence and development.

“We have produced more Clergies, ‘Osise Oluwa’ than Professors, Doctors in this two decades. This one no get control. The Number of Prophets in the Church has tripled over the years compared to the number of graduates in the fold.” Adele wrote.

He also decried the high level of poverty among members, saying “the rate of poverty in the church has doubled to a noticeable extent that we now have so many jobless people.

“Empowerment and rendering of help amidst members has died down to an almost buryable rate. The few rich and well to do hardly and scarcely help the needy ones.
Their excuse is I was once betrayed when I helped a fellow celestial.”

He implored the leadership of the church on the need to have an open approach towards the administration of the church.
