It has been revealed that SBJ Oshoffa warned against the idea of soliciting for funds from non members of the church during fund-raising needed for church projects and events. This was revealed by John Bada while reacting to an article written by Evangelist Ezekiel in respect to the support given by the Church to Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi during the Comforter Crusade.

Bada whose father Reverend Alexandra Bada, was a former pastor of the Church, advised against the use of God’s church in matters that are of personal interest.

He cited this as the reason the founder of the church, SBJ Oshoffa warned against receiving money from non members to finance any project or event of the church, because the heart of man is shrewd in secrecy and evil.

“When Papa Oshoffa told us and warned us not to take money from outsiders to do any of our projects, he knew surely well what he was saying and he is in spirit. . . . . . . The risk and stakes are high and we cannot afford to take it and there is no good reason or sense in taken it. It’s uncalled for and we don’t need it.” he wrote.

Bada however added that the Oshoffa want members to finance Church project and event because “God has blessed the Church from the beginning and we don’t need a kobo from anyone outside to do whatever we want to do,

“There is nothing we want in this church that we cannot get” as celestians must “ not put our great church in any danger out of foolishness and the mercy of anybody but God.”
