While we took a break in 2018 from the tradition we began in 2016, in listing celestians who have made their marks in and around the church, most especially through the use of social media.






We resume the tradition in listing celestians that have stood tall in the 2019. We present our top 10 celestians in this order:

10. Adebowale Olamidotun (DotVocalz).


As the only artiste on this year’s list, Adebowale Olamidotun, popularly called DotVocalz is known for his good performance in praises music. The creativity he adds to his praise music are ingenious and are been debated whether the introduction of the vibe of secular music into gospel music is appropriate.

9. Deborah Oshoffa


The strength of the daughter of the founder of the church in a male dominated church is unexplainable. By her charisma, Deborah is one of the most influential Oshoffa who the youth of the church look up to due to her welcoming nature.


8. Amadiowei Godsglory Opudu


Evangelist Opudu is a clergy within the fold and he is the creator of one of the Church most active Facebook Group Celestial Discuss. Opudu’s Group is centered on the call for a United Celestial Church.

7. Alonge Michael


Since the inception of this list in 2016, the publisher of Celestial News Online had always made the list. Alonge is one of those who had always set the agenda for the discussion of burning issues within the fold.






6. Korede Ogunmola

Like Deborah, Opudu and DotVocalz, Ogunmola is a maiden member on the list of our top celestians of the year. He is a high ranking member of Greater Tomorrow Group, a highly conservative youth group in the church.

His forthrightness in delivery top-notch sermons endeared him to be included among the list of the top 10 celestians in 2019. The alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University also processes great writing skills, which are evident in his articles.

5. Àlàgbà Michael Fọlọrunsọ

He is one of the admins of the church’s most conservative group on Facebook. The Ijo Mimo Ti Kristi Lati Orun Wa (Celestial Churh of Christ) Facebook Group can be christened as Celestial Police. Folorunsho is the most prominent member of the group.


4. Bro Gbenga Adebayo Daniel
He is the brain behind the amazing Luli Concert and this year he was the chairman of the 2019 Christmas Convocation at Imeko, Ogun State. The humility and finesse in which he uses in delivering good jobs are indeed commendable.

3. Meet CCC

Meetccc.com is a Celestial Church focused website with rich contents on spiritual developments. In the year in review, Meet CCC assisted the youth wing of the church in various capacities as media partner. Brother Samuel Ola-Ibukun is the publisher of the media outfit.






2. Celestial Weekly

Like MeetCCC, Celestialweekly.com is an online news platform in the church with a classic website filled with robust contents and a unique youtube page that focuses on interviewing of prominent members in the church in order to preserve the church history.

1. Prophet Dele Ogundipe
In 2019 there is no member of the church who has branded Celestial Church of Christ positively than the presiding Shepherd of Genesis Model Parish, a liberal Parish known for its interdenominational service.

A lot of his sermons trended on social media with a lot of following from non celestians. “I never knew I could make it an habit to listen to sermon by a white garment pastor”, a social media user wrote.

However, within the fold Ogundipe is without controversies. Conservative celestians do maintain that his actions and innovations are contrary to the church’s doctrines and tenets.
