Parishes in Nigeria will finally get to observe the 2020 Juvenile Harvest within the walls of the Church in accordance to the regulations of the state governments their jurisdiction falls under, as opposed to the planned online harvest.
This is coming as a result of the daily briefing of Nigeria's presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19 on Monday, 1st June, 2020. The Chairman of the task force, Boss Mustapha, announced that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the relaxation of the ban on places of worship for four weeks. The ban on religious gatherings by Nigeria government had lasted for two months, as a move to check the spread of the corona virus.
The implications of this relaxation implies that parishes in Nigeria will now physically observe the harvest meant for children, but with strict guildlines that may be put in place by the various state governments.
Already Reverend EMF Oshoffa and Reverend Beni Omoge have advised parishes of the church all over the world to observe the harvest in accordance to the instructions put in place by the government of the country they are in.
Before now most parishes of the church have been looking forward to an online Juvenile Harvest, but this will now be limited to mostly parishes in America, Europe, South Africa and some Asian and African countries.
