Senior Leader Gbenga Oyeleye, has revealed that the use of the name Jah Michael is wrong. He made this known in an article he titled, “The name Jah-Michael is a spiritual misconception in Celestial Church: A name has ready been given to us.”

In the article, Oyeleye observed that Angel Michael was given to Celestial Church under the authority of Jesus Christ and it is inappropriate to make use of the name Jah Michael during prayer. He wrote: “God has not given us the mantle to call on angels when we are in trouble. He has given us a name that is above all name and that is Jesus Christ (Phillipians 2 vs 9-10). Whosoever call upon his name shall be saved(Rom 10 vs 13) not the name of an angel.”

Oyeleye added that: “Have you seen anyone in the bible that was given the power to command angels to do their bidding? We can only make our requests to God who sends his angels at will to answer our various requests.

The member of Wonderland Parish, in Iyana Paja, Lagos State, Nigeria also argued that the meaning of Jah is Jehovah and it amount to “ignorance and lack of spiritual knowledge to equate Angel Michael and Jehovah together while we offer spiritual prayer for victory in Celestial Church. . . . . I remember some years ago when some religious brethren visited the sea side to pray for angel Michael's appearance. Though he appeared so huge in the sky as the story was told but they all ran mad.”
