Rev Adeogun and Rev Oshoffa

The uncertainties over the celebration of the annual Christmas Convocation at the Church’s major landmark in Imeko and Porto-Novo has been reduced by half as the strongest faction of the Church outside Nigeria, led by Reverend Bennett Adeogun in Benin Republic has ordered its loyalists to observe the event at their parishes instead of converging at the Reverend SBJ Oshoffa Holy land in Porto-Novo.

This decision was made known in a post monitored on Communaute Celeste, a Francophone based Facebook page.

Communaute Celeste reports that Venerable Supreme Evangelist Prosper Dah Guedenon revealed that the 24th December watch night Christmas services are to be observed at parishes level and possibly outside the Church Auditorium.

This declaration is coming after concerns that Christmas Convocation may not take place due to government restrictions regarding the Covid19 pandemic. With this declaration all eyes will be on whether the largest faction in Nigeria, led by Reverend Emmanuel Oshoffa will also declare that the Christmas Convocation in Imeko will not be taking place in 2020.
