Governor Babajide Sanwoolu 

As the governments at both the Federal and States level battle to curtail the second wave of Covid-19 in Nigeria, Lagos State Government has maintained that all protocols must be observed by residents of the state.


Governor Sanwoolu made this known while briefing members of the public about his ordeal with the Corona Virus after he was certified Covid-19 free for the second time.


Sanwoolu maintained that Lagosians must obey all guidelines put in place by the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, as the prohibition of gatherings is among one of such guidelines.


“There are not meant to be gatherings. . . . The curfew setup that has been set by NCDC and PTF is still active from 12 midnight to 4am there is a national curfew and that has to be respected.


“There are no night vigils in any form. The instructions are there and all of the restrictions are still in place. . . . There are no vigil anywhere. If it is just one Christmas, we will have several Christmas. Please, so you can have your prayers at home.” The govenor said at the media briefing.
