For more than 3 decades the installation of Pastors as the Spiritual Head of Celestial Church of Christ has always been greeted with one form of dissatisfactions which has led to the fractionization of the Church since the demise of the first Spiritual Head and founder of the Church, Reverend Samuel Bilewu Oshoffa.


In the past, it is believed that the choice of the pastor has been as a result of declaration made by the Holy Spirit to the members of the Board of Trustees of the Church. However, recent revelations have revealed that these choices were made by the Board of Trustees without the directives of the Holy Spirit.


This has resulted to the demand of an apology from Most Superior Evangelist S.O Banjo, the oldest member of the Church’s Board of Trustees, by the likes of the Publisher of Celestial News Online, (CNO) Michael Alonge, Benjamin Oshoffa and many others.


While responding to the demand for apology from Baba Banjo, the secretary of the BOT, Superior Evangelist (Professor) Akinterinwa, on Saturday maintained that there won’t be any apology because Baba Banjo is an elder and those who do good to save a situation from getting bad are not suppose to apologize.


“The apology you want, let me tell you. Even in the kingdom of God, (sic) ni ibi ti won ba fin se ori, won fin tele (where is been mentioned as the head, is not stepped upon.) I am coming, please let me tell you (sic). If it is not thanks to his continued existence as a member, Church a tie ti daru (the Church would have scattered.) . . . . . You are now asking people for apologizing for doing good (sic),” Akinterinwa said at the meeting called by the BOT in Makoko.
