An interesting discussion on why female members of the Church do not like getting married to Shepherds is trending on Celestial Sphere, as more than two Facebook groups currently have this topic as being discussed with hundreds of comments. A close look at the pattern of the discussion, most female members do not have good experience regarding getting into a relationship with clergies of the Church.

Damilola Blessing implored female members wishing to get married to Shepherds to ensure that they are very financially buoyant before getting married to Shepherds, saying "as a lady, if you want to marry a Shepherd, be rich... I mean very rich. Those people can be draining parasite ni won."

Abiola Busayo believes that the fear of spiritual battles is the reason female members avoid Shepherds but thank God for those who are currently married to Shepherds. Adekunle Pearl agrees with her as she declaring that, "being a shepherd wife is you (must) being ready in your spirit and mind to carry the cross along with him in truth and faithfulness, though it's not easy but with God it is. It's a sacrifice. I thank God for myself, God reigneth."

However, Julliet Abosede like many other members, resolved that it is difficult for Shepherds to stick to one wife, so it is advisable to avoid getting married to them. "To me ooo, you can never see a shepherd who can stick with 1 woman, is neither they have so many girlfriends, I would have love to marry a shepherd but I can’t handle it. . . . . . I just hope shepherd should stop the act of dating so many girls." she wrote.

Those planning to get married to Shepherds must be highly spiritual, says Adenike Ojo, as she declared that, "Most of the ladies are arrogant, not submissive, lack tolerance and patience, love worldly materials, so, it makes it more difficult for them. Marrying Shepherd is a great task, one, she must learn to be submissive, patience and over look things, lastly, she must be 70-90% spiritual.
