In a reaction to Eli Mobah's comments, stating that the wives of clergies in the Church do not necessarily need to be full-time housewives in the process, they engage in the selling of spiritual matters in the premises of the Church, as they can also take part office work, a lot of members have given their opinion regarding the issue.

In a comment, Temitope Deborah maintained that: "the major reason why those women prefer staying around is to monitor their husbands. Let's not undermine the rate of infidelity among shepherds; in this sense, their wives believe staying around them is preferable.
